About Us - Calne Community Area Fairtrade Group
CALNE Community Area Fairtrade Group, is a voluntary group of local people who believe in promoting and advancing the cause of Fairtrade as outlined by the Fairtrade Foundation. The Group has, along with may other groups across Wiltshire and the Country as a whole, has been in existence for some years. We are allied to the Wiltshire FAIRTRADE Group, and currently are seeking to work towards gaining FAIRTRADE Community Status for Calne and its surrounding parishes.
Other towns in our relative locality that have Fairtrade Town status include: Corsham (2016), Marlborough (2016), Trowbridge (2009), Devizes (2006) and Bradford on Avon (2003).
We plan and organise events in Calne Town and the surrounding Parishes for Fairtrade Fortnight each year which takes place a the end of February though to the second week in March - see events that took place in 2018 - JOIN us to plan events for 2019 (see below)

"Let's make Calne & Parishes a Fairtrade Community" Project Steering Committee
Embarking on this project for Calne and the surrounding Parishes we are making good progress to strengthen our committee with new members to form a practical Fairtrade Community Steering Committee.
We need people who have contacts with schools, cafes, business, etc, but most of all we need you if you are enthusiastic about improving your town and the Parishes around CALNE.
Email or Call us - to discuss, and come to our next meeting: Meetings are open for everyone interested in the Calne Fairtrade Town Project. If you cannot come to a meeting on a weekday but want to join us/help PLEASE let us know so we can arrange alternatives.
